Older Models are celebrated in The Gentlewoman

Older models are being celebrated!! And why not? This is Angela Lansbury on the cover of the Autumn/Winter 2012 edition of The Gentlewoman. She is the 86 year old star of the television series 'Murder She Wrote'. So often we see models that barely look like teenagers sprawled provocatively on the front covers of magazines; but now there has been a surge in older modelling which I think is quite liberating and embracing of aging. It just shows that age shouldn't be a factor in modelling; M.A.C cosmetics range sold out of the make-up worn by 91 year-old Iris Apfel in their advertising campaign earlier this year.
